sydney resurrected woman on the rise.jpg

Hello everyone!! I'm Sydney, a 20 year old special education major at Miami University. I love to sing, dance, eat ice cream, watch the office, and laugh with my friends.

How do you let God make you a resurrected woman? How has he done this in your life?

I let God make me a resurrected woman by completely surrendering my life to his plan. I wanted so badly for a relationship to work when clearly that wasn’t in God’s plan right now and it took me a little while but once I let go of control, God gave me the strength to start new and leave something that was broken. He is creating beauty from the ashes of not loving myself first in the past. He’s making me new.

How do you keep the faith through the changing seasons of life?

Life is full of hills and valleys and there is so much peace that comes from knowing God will get you through. When you’re in a deep valley God is leading you to the top of a beautiful hill. I keep the faith by knowing no matter what season I am in in my life God will never leave my side.

If you had to share one thing with women what would it be?

Never regret loving someone with your whole heart even if it isn’t reciprocated. It is so brave to love someone with your whole heart and soul knowing that you might get hurt. Never consider it a waste to love hard, loving is always a win.

We are called to love Jesus and love each other. It’s so easy to guard our hearts and not let ourselves fully love or be fully loved and that’s where real deep pain comes from, the fear of getting hurt. God wants us to love him as recklessly and fearlessly as he loves us.

The same goes with each other. Never stop loving. Never stop being brave and being vulnerable. That’s living life to the fullest and becoming a resurrected woman.

Choose to find joy when everything seems to be going wrong. Choose to still pray for the boy who broke your heart. Choose to laugh with your friends when you really want to cry. Choose to accept the never ending love of Jesus even when you feel like you don’t deserve it. Trust me, you do.

God doesn’t put you in situations that you can’t get through. If you surrender to Him, he will give you the strength to do things you never thought you could. He will take you to places you never thought you would see. He shows you just how strong He made you when your life gets flipped upside down.

I found peace in the pain when I realized that God is about to make something beautiful out of my life when it felt so broken and ruined. I must have faith that God is going to bring me to a joy so bright. I don’t know where he is going to take me but I will surrender to him anyways.

Because I guess if we knew his plan, He wouldn’t be the God that creates mountains and oceans out of nothing at all.

Keep loving ladies, loving Jesus, loving others, and never forget to love yourself, because we are loved by an incredible God and he gave us this amazing gift to love. We should never give up on that gift. It can be so painful and scary but there is only more to gain when you love.

Be brave. You are worthy and enough and perfectly crafted by the God of the freaking universe.

“And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13.

Love,

Sydney
